How can we help?

Quick answers for tenants and landlords using RentRight. For anything not covered here, contact sales@rentright.ie.

Getting Started

  • Create an account with email and password or Google sign-up.
  • Choose tenant or landlord setup after sign-up.
  • Confirm your email if prompted before continuing.
  • Use the dashboard to return to your active tenant, landlord, or staff workspace.

Tenant Help

  • Complete your profile with budget, location, timing, household, and preference details.
  • Use visibility settings to control which profile summaries landlords can see.
  • Like properties that suit your search. Landlords can review interested tenants before starting a chat.
  • Tenants cannot usually message first. You can reply after a landlord opens a conversation and your verification state allows it.
  • Upload only relevant verification documents and redact unnecessary sensitive details first.

Landlord Help

  • Create a property listing with clear rent, location, availability, description, features, and photos.
  • Add at least three strong photos before expecting serious tenant interest.
  • Listings may show as draft, awaiting approval, changes requested, live, paused, rented, disabled, or archived.
  • If a listing is held or disabled, review the admin note, make edits, and request re-review.
  • Publish and pay starts Stripe checkout once your account and listing are ready.

Verification Help

  • Phone verification uses a one-time code.
  • Tenant trusted status can require email, phone, identity, readiness, and reference approval.
  • Landlord verification requirements may differ and can change as RentRight improves safety controls.
  • A rejected or needs-review document usually means the upload is unclear, incomplete, not relevant, or needs a safer replacement.

Payments and Refunds

  • Landlord listing fees are paid through Stripe.
  • A paid listing fee does not guarantee approval, tenant interest, messages, viewings, or a tenancy.
  • If checkout is cancelled, the listing remains unpaid.
  • Refund requests are reviewed under the Terms and applicable Irish consumer law.
